Claire takes her own retirement advice

After almost three decades in financial services, Claire Davison is retiring from her role as a financial planner, bringing to a close a career defined by her dedication to clients, clear communication and trusted advice.

Claire joined Active Chartered Financial Planners in September 2013, bringing with her years of experience as a financial adviser with Yorkshire Bank/AXA. During her time at the bank, Claire developed expertise across all areas of financial planning – building experience and expertise that would serve her clients well throughout the rest of her career.

As a financial planner, Claire has provided various areas of financial advice including pension planning and investment planning. She is particularly known for the clarity and care with which she communicates, ensuring that clients understand every stage of the process and feel confident in the decisions they make.

Claire has always placed great emphasis on maintaining strong and consistent relationships with clients “Financial planning is all about building long term, trusted relationships with clients – and that’s the part of the role that I have enjoyed the most” says Claire

And what will retirement bring for Hartlepool – based Claire?

“I am looking forward to spending more time with my family, taking lovely long walks with my dogs (Benny and Howard) and lots of holidays abroad!”

Claire’s relationship with the firm began long before she joined in 2013, but in her early days at Yorkshire Bank when she worked with a number of Active’s (ex-Yorkshire Bank) advisers – including director, Paul Gibson, who delivered her very first training session.

“I initially met Claire in 1997 and encouraged her to become a Financial Planner.  I was delighted when she decided to join Active in 2013 where she has been an absolute asset to the firm – not only for her expertise in financial planning, but for her down to earth approach and the genuine care she has for her clients – she will be greatly missed” says Paul
