Not only is 2025 our 25th anniversary in business, but four members of our team have stepped up into important new roles and we could not be prouder of their achievements.
Head of Practice – Rachel McCulloch MBA, CMgr
Rachel has been with us since 2009, back when the Active we are today was still just a big idea.
Over the last 16 years, Rachel has become the glue that holds the team together. In 2018 she completed the Diploma in Management & Leadership and during lockdown became a Chartered Manager. Most recently, Rachel has completed the Masters Degree in Leadership & Management at Teesside University, graduating with distinction.
In her role, Rachel will continue to lead the firm and manage our support team, ensuring we continue to run smoothly and deliver the very best service for our clients.
Head of Advice – Jessica Wilkinson FPFS
Jess joined the firm less than four years ago and has already proven herself to be an invaluable member of the team.
Jess has passed a number of exams since she joined, most recently achieving fellowship status of the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) which is the highest qualification awarded in our industry. This demonstrates her commitment to professional excellence.
As our new Head of Advice, Jess will oversee the advice process across the firm, helping us to continue delivering the highest standards for our clients.
Head of Risk – Lauren Lee FPFS
Lauren came on board earlier this year and has already taken on a huge responsibility – leading our risk and compliance team.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Lauren’s passion for paraplanning and compliance stemmed from witnessing the frustration many advisers faced with the process, motivating her to help resolve these challenges.
With her wealth of experience in our industry, as our new Head of Risk, Lauren is here to make sure we stay compliant, resilient, and ready for whatever the industry throws at us.
Head of Communications – Ruth Conner MCIM
If you have ever attended one of our events, read a website blog, scrolled through our social media, or even picked up a piece of our branded merchandise chances are, you’ve already experienced Ruth’s work. Since she joined the team back in 2016, Ruth’s role has grown far beyond ‘marketing’ to encompass all aspects of communication with our clients, professional partners, and team members. We are thrilled to see her step into the role of Head of Communications, where she will continue to lead the way in telling the Active Chartered Financial Planners’ story.
