Career Profile

Ruth joined Active as marketing manager in January 2016 bringing more than 17 years experience in B2B & B2C marketing.

Before joining Active, Ruth spent 8 years at Country Valley Foods as marketing manager, gaining extensive experience in private sector marketing.

Prior to this, Ruth worked as marketing executive at both Durham Tees Valley & Newcastle International Airports before moving to a Gateshead based graphic design agency as sales executive.

Ruth works closely with the firm’s chosen charities – The Teesside Charity, taking part in a number of events to raise money for local causes and The High Tide Foundation, a charity that connects classrooms with careers.

Key Services

Ruth works closely with the directors to implement Active’s marketing strategy. This includes planning and coordinating Active’s events programme, supporting the team with marketing literature, liaising with Active’s PR agency to maximise our media profile and most importantly, providing regular communication with Active’s clients and professional connections with newsletters, website & social media updates.

As brand manager, Ruth was instrumental in Active’s 2018 rebranding exercise, working closely with the MD and a local design agency to ensure successful implementation of the new brand.

Ruth is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and is currently studying to be a chartered marketer
