Career Profile

Paul has worked in financial services for almost 20 years, beginning his career in 1996 with a local firm of Independent Financial Advisers. Paul qualified as an Adviser himself in 1999.

In 2004 Paul moved to Lloyds TSB where he worked for 3 years at various branches within the North East giving personal financial advice.

Before joining Active in 2015, Paul spent the last 6 years working with a Chartered Accountancy Practice in the Richmond area, providing advice mainly to owner managed companies.

Key Services

In his role at Active, Paul deals with advising individual clients and owner managed businesses on various areas including pensions and investments.  More recently, this includes guidance and advice on the ever changing pensions environment to ensure that clients receive the most suitable advice for their circumstances.

Paul deals with a significant number of clients in the years leading up to retirement to correctly structure their investments and pension up to and in to retirement.

“A lot of the advice given to clients is driven by tax, assisting them in mitigating income, capital gains and inheritence tax” says Paul

-Diploma in Investment Planning (Dip IP)

-Financial Planning Certificates (1, 2 & 3)
