Liza joined Active in June 2013 following a long and successful career at the Yorkshire Bank. She began her career as a Bank Clerk aged just 16, continuing her study while working full time, progressing through various roles (at the bank) and qualifying as a Financial Adviser in 1997. During this time there was a strong need for advice from retail clients (within the bank). Liza spent more than 20 years at the Yorkshire Bank (and AXA) as one of the top advisers, continuing to improve her skills & knowledge by gaining her Diploma in 2011.
In June 2018 after 2 years of continuous study, Liza gained Fellowship status from the Personal Finance Society (which is part of the Chartered Insurance Institute), the highest qualification awarded by the CII.
Recently, Liza was shortlisted in the Women in Financial Advice Awards 2018 in the category of ‘Financial Adviser (North of England)’. Liza also made the shortlist in the category of ‘Breaking the Mould’ at the inaugural Tees Businesswoman Awards which took place in November 2018.
Liza covers all aspects of finance advice, specialising in investment and retirement planning. She prides herself on maintaining excellent relationships with her clients, which she believes comes from staying in regular contact with them. She works hard to provide excellent customer service and regularly generates business from referrals, which reflects a high level of client satisfaction. Liza can also be seen at many professional events promoting Active, which she thoroughly enjoys. Her fun attitude towards life combined with a real commitment to excellence means she is a perfect fit for team Active.
Liza tends to work with clients within the County Durham area including Darlington, Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland and Stockton.
“Liza was excellent at explaining investments and talking us through the service she would provide us with so that we knew exactly what to expect. She provided us with clear explanations of the products and did not put any pressure on us to proceed with her advice. As you can see, we cannot praise Liza highly enough.”
