Grant Young

Career Profile

Grant joined the team as a paraplanner in Summer 2022 from another local financial planning firm.

Grant studied Maths and Physics at Dundee University before beginning his career in financial services in 2014. Originally working with cash savings and investments, Grant then progressed to research and analysis of the full investment market including pensions, investments, annuities, inheritance tax and protection.

Originally from Fife in Scotland, Grant followed his partner (now his wife) to the North-East, they recently welcomed their first baby.

As a paraplanner, Grant works closely with the financial advisers, helping them analyse clients’ financial situations and portfolios to ensure the best financial advice is provided.

For the last 7 years, Grant has developed a substantial knowledge and understanding of a number of financial analytical tools including SelectaPension, Voyant, FE Analytics and Iress Exchange.
