You shall go to the ball (at Yarm School)

Students at Yarm School are set to dazzle audiences with their production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical Cinderella, thanks to our sponsorship.

A 40-strong cast of talented youngsters, both performers and behind the scenes, will tell the universally known rags-to-riches tale of Cinderella from this Wednesday, 31st January to Saturday, 3rd February 2024 at Yarm’s Princess Alexandra Auditorium.

Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella was the most widely viewed programme in US TV history at the time. Its recreation in 1965 was also highly successful, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother.

As a firm, we have supported Yarm School for many years, including sponsoring productions in 2018, 2020 and 2022, and participating in the Yarm Student Apprentice competition. The team is also regularly involved with the school’s careers guidance events and offers student mentoring and work placement opportunities.

Dr Huw Williams, headmaster of Yarm School, expressed, “As the curtain rises once more, Yarm’s exceptionally gifted students are ready to present another much-loved show at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium. We extend our thanks, once again, to Active Chartered Financial Planners for their continued support.

“Their substantial contributions to the Teesside community resonate deeply with us, and we are thrilled to maintain such a constructive and mutually beneficial partnership with the team there.”

Karl Pemberton, MD added: “We are thrilled to be back in the Princess Alexandra Auditorium for another ambitious musical. Cinderella is a classic and I’m certain the cast from Yarm will be as brilliant as ever!

“The firm is committed to supporting the future of Teesside, and that includes the encouraging the region’s young people. We have a fantastic relationship with Huw and the team at Yarm, and we’re always excited when show time comes around.”

There are still some tickets available for Yarm School’s production of Cinderella, which runs from 31 January to 3 February, are available from https://www.thepaaonline.org/whats-on/cinderella-school-musical/
