Coronavirus – Business Contingency Planning

It is fair to say that circumstances have changed significantly during the last 7 days for everyone with regards to Coronavirus, and we at Active are not immune.

As Public Health England revises its own guidance to the ‘Delay’ phase, we thought it pertinent to advise of the measures we are taking here at Active, and the advice we are giving to all of our clients and staff.

First and foremost, we would encourage all Clients that may have travelled to a High Risk Area since the 9th March (even if you are not showing symptoms) to please self isolate, and certainly not plan to visit the office.

If you are due to visit Active House in the coming weeks, we can confirm that none of the Active Team have visited any of these High Risk areas, that we are now operating a ‘No Handshake Policy’ and that all Team Members are actively encouraged to wash hands regularly and work from home where viable to do so.

We would also like to offer all clients the opportunity to fulfil any meetings via Skype, FaceTime or Telephone if you would prefer to simply face-to-face. Please do let us know of this ASAP so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Things are however likely to change……

Clearly, all the above remain available as options for the time being and we will continue to operate as near to normal as possible for as long as possible. However, we wanted to share with you our further contingency measures should the situation deteriorate in the near future.

As a firm that has invested heavily in technology over the years, many of the Active Team work using laptops and software, so can work in any location. Therefore should we need to close the office for a period, or operate on skeleton staff, most systems and processes will remain unaffected.

Whilst we can divert the main telephone numbers, we would strongly encourage you to use your advisers Mobile Number and/or Email as the primary method should this instance occur.

Given the size of our offices, and the number of members within our Team, we are also confident that we can still operate, even on very minimal numbers should the need arise.

All members of the Active Team have been briefed on these contingency measures, and we wanted to reassure all of our clients that we have been pro-active in putting in place measures so-as to have minimum impact upon you.

We are committed to ensuring our service levels are mitigated wherever possible during these potential difficult times.

Thanks in advance for your understanding. Hopefully these measures are never needed!
