Active welcomes experienced and qualified client support manager to the team

Samuel Baker joined Active in January 2022, bringing with him over 5 year’s industry experience.

Sam’s career in financial services began in 2016 when he worked at Santander in the Mortgage Centre before studying for the level 3 diploma in Business Studies. He then moved to The Royal Bank of Scotland and then Barclays where he worked as a customer complaints handler. While working full time, Sam studied for the BA Hons in Accounting and Finance, gaining a 2:1 in 2020.

Before joining Active, Sam worked in a similar client support role at another local financial planning firm. In his role at Active, Sam provides an important link between the advisers and their clients, including managing and completing client applications for pensions, investments and mortgages efficiently.

In 2021, Sam began studying for the diploma in financial services and has now completed three modules. Keen to develop his technical knowledge and underpin the skills he is learning at Active, Sam is continuing his studies hoping to complete the diploma shortly.

“Everyone has made me feel so welcome – I am really enjoying the work” says Sam “Studying for a diploma while working full time is a challenge, but I feel very supported by the team here”

“We are thrilled to welcome another experienced member of staff to the support team and Sam is proving a real asset” says MD Karl Pemberton
