Glyn Pemberton

Career Profile

Glyn is the founder and former Chairman of Active Chartered Financial Planners.

Glyn’s career in financial services began in 1974 with the Co-operative Insurance Services where he stained until 1986 when he joined The Allied Group in Guisborough. Eventually Glyn progressed to the role of Director at Allied and was instrumental in developing its mortgage, life insurance, pension and investment portfolios. His work there also involved firmly establishing the company in the local area. When Allied closed in 2000, Glyn formed his own company –  Active Financial Services, in order to ensure that his clients received continued advice in the local area. Since then, Glyn helped steer the business through steady growth and development until his retirement in 2019.

Key Services

Glyn moved on from his role as a Financial Adviser but continued on as Chairman with responsibilities in staff development, mentoring and recruitment until his retirement in December 2019.

In retirement, Glyn continues to represent the firm’s charitable activities including those linked to the Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, as well as enjoying time with his family.

– Certificate of the Personal Finance Society (Cert PFS, 1988)
