Career Profile

Darren joined Active in August 2017 in a new role created to reflect Active’s growth.  Darren’s time is spent managing Active’s training & competence but also working as part of the paraplanning team.

Beginning his career in Financial Services in 1987, Darren has spent 30 years working for Insurance companies and Independent Financial Advisers in various roles including sales, sales management, compliance and paraplanning.

Key Services

As Paraplanner, Darren’s duties include assisting Active’s team of financial advisers with their research and compiling clients’ suitability reports.

As Training & Competence Manager, Darren is responsible for keeping Active’s compliance policies in place, whilst keeping updated with changes to these areas and conducting file checks.

Darren also observes client meetings, ensuring continuous adherence to Active’s high standards and supporting colleagues by continuous training, whilst maintaining working practices and knowledge.
