Career Profile

Colin has worked in financial services since 1988 having started his career with Prudential. He then went on to spend time at London & Manchester, Friends Provident and Royal Liver. Colin fulfilled his ambition of becoming an Independent Financial Adviser in 2003 when he joined the team here at Active.

“Working for the Pru all those years was a valuable experience. I recognised during that period the value of seeing customers in their own environment and still prefer to see people in their own homes, where they are most comfortable to discuss matter of personal importance.”

Key Services

Like many of our IFAs, Colin works across the full range of services in financial planning, from protection and retirement through to investment and savings.  However he is also one of our team members with a keen specialism in mortgages, including the tricky area of equity release (lifetime mortgages).

Colin’s works with clients across the North East including Teesside, Durham, Sunderland and South Shields.

“Keeping customers updated at all times. I like to review their circumstances on a regular basis so we ensure that the plans we laid down at the outset continue to meet their needs. On that basis, you can build long-term relationships with customers.”
