We continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary with two senior appointments as the firm continues to expand.
Chartered Financial Planner Craig Honeyman and Chartered Paraplanner Lauren Lee joins us in recent months, reinforcing our commitment to providing expert, financial planning in the region as demand for our services continues to grow. The latest hires follow a bumper recruitment year in 2024, adding a further four team members, including yet another chartered financial planner. This takes our total number of Chartered qualified individuals to 15 from a team of 29!
Craig Honeyman brings over 20 years of experience in financial planning. A Guisborough native, Craig began his career in 2004 and has built a reputation for expert, personable advice across a broad spectrum of areas, including pension and retirement planning, investment planning, and home finance. He holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and he achieved chartered status with the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2022. Craig began his career at Redcar based firm Bob Little and Co, before moving to Money Matters, which later became part of the Kingswood Group.
Lauren Lee joins as a Chartered Paraplanner, having worked in financial services in the Tees Valley since 2011. Having began her career as an apprentice, Lauren developed an expertise in compliance and operational support roles, an area where she will add significant value as the firm continues to evolve. Lauren completed her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2019, achieved chartered status in 2021 and became a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2022.

The two new recruits also bring a strong sense of local knowledge and personal connection to the region. Craig is based in Guisborough, where he lives with his wife and three children. Lauren recently returned to the North East after living in Abu Dhabi for two and a half years, where she moved with her husband, before her daughter was born.
Lauren said: “The team at Active Chartered Financial Planners has been incredibly welcoming. I knew a lot about their culture before I came here, and it really hasn’t disappointed.
