Karl Nendick

Career Profile

Karl is a Director at Active as well as a busy Independent Financial Adviser. He joined the firm in July 2013.

Karl’s career in financial services began in 1989 when he first joined Yorkshire Bank as a Management Trainee.  Having moved around the bank he found his niche in 1995, becoming a qualified Financial Adviser. Following a brief spell working with Lloyds TSB as a Savings & Investment Adviser, in 1998 Karl returned to Yorkshire Bank as an Independent Financial Adviser and Senior Financial Planner.

As part of his role as a Director at Active, Karl also invests his time in developing and training more junior members of the firm, as well as working to ensure that Active continues to deliver an exceptional service to its clients.

Key Services

During his time at Yorkshire Bank, Karl developed a large group of corporate clients; large companies with complex pension plan requirements, corporate investments and protection planning.  As part of this work he also developed a specialism in working with and advising Directors and Business owners.

Having provided financial advice to clients through two economic recessions, Karl knows the importance of taking the long-term view, and takes great satisfaction in seeing clients achieve their goals.

Karl is based in East Yorkshire as are some of his clients, as well as having many other clients across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and of course, Teesside – the home of Active.

As a keen road cyclist, Karl has taken part in a number of charity rides, including ‘Coast to Coast’, ‘Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge’ and ‘Football to Amsterdam’.  Karl has helped to raise hundreds of pounds for charities such as Prostate Cancer UK, Ryedale Special Families and the Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation
